Equine Architecture in Wellington, Florida

Obviously the Wellington Equestrian Barns showcase beautiful Equine Architecture in Wellington, Florida. From Hunter/Jumper barns to swanky dressage barns. Therefore, the equine architecture in Wellington is tough to beat!

While on commercial equine photography assignments, I was able to go into Grand Prix village and surrounding equine facilities. Since I was raised in an architecturally rich city, I deeply appreciate the subtle nuances of equine facility architecture. Obviously it has to be functional. However major bonus points are achieved when it is also beautiful. Some facilities have beautiful brick work, stunning water features, and gorgeous landscaping. However all the facilities are designed to keep the horses cool, happy and comfortable.

Some of the facilities look like they are straight out of Town and Country magazine. While others have their own unique charm. Furthermore, some have classic Florida touches such as “Florida Shades” for shutters. Regardless of the specific style, I’ve decided I love them all.

The Winter Equestrian Festival is not one to miss. Equestrians, photographers, equestrian craftsmen and celebrities attend every year. The 13 week show is beautiful and fun. Furthermore my favorite aspect is the energy in the air. People are so excited to be showing at WEF, that the energy is happy and fun. I highly recommend!
