As a California Equine Photographer I BELIEVE CAPTURING IMAGES IS A FORM OF STORY TELLING.

HERE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE STORIES of horses and the people that love them.

Woodside Dressage Horse Session

with Alice and Teddy

This Woodside Dressage Horse Session with Alice and Teddy was so special. Since this is the second time I have photographed the pair, I had to take a moment to appreciate. Undoubtedly, I adore each and every one of my clients. However, repeat clients hold a special place in my heart. Obviously I understand that photography sessions are a luxury. Therefore I’m so appreciative when people choose me as their photographer. Furthermore, I appreciate when they choose to do so more than once.

This Woodside Dressage Horse Session solidified the fact that Lusitano Gelding Teddy only likes to model with high fashion. Alice and Teddy ride under the guidance of Core Equestrian at the Horse Park at Woodside practicing the art of dressage. However, I’m pretty convinced that Teddy wants to be a horse model. Furthermore, he clearly expresses his preference for fashion my modeling like a pro when he likes Alice’s outfit. For example, during this Woodside Dressage Horse session, Teddy was fine with the first outfit choice. Which was breeches from Free Ride Equestrian, gloves from Clovis Equestrian and a gorgeous white top from Solid Citizen Equestrian’s first capsule collection.

While Alice’s second outfit was a sweet yellow sundress that gave us major Bridgerton countryside vibes, Teddy seemed opposed. Therefore no amount of dress fluffing and levity would appease him. Unfortunately his ears refused to stand at attention whilst Alice was in the yellow dress. So we quickly got Alice into her third outfit. Since the third outfit was a slinky black gown and a serious showstopper – Teddy turned on the charm. Hence Teddy stood at attention, ears up and happy expression. Naturally we all laughed at his clear preference for swanky fashion. Obviously I love the bond that Alice and Teddy share. And of course the way he communicates with his human can’t be beat!

Check out some of our shots below. While I mostly serve the Central Coast of California, I do travel to the Bay Area often. So if you would like to book a Bay Area session with me, please contact me here.
