Felicia and Cadence
Oak Park Equestrian is such a lovely backdrop for Equine Sessions. The tree-lined driveway and lower cattle pastures are a beautiful. They lead up to the well-maintained main barn and arenas. When Felicia reached out to schedule an Equine Session with her beloved mare Cadence, I was excited!
Cadence is a retiring show jumper that Felicia has had for over ten years! As a result, the pair have conquered the show jumper arena. The pair trained under the guidance of Amanda Garcia Equestrian and have been to many shows at our local Paso Robles Horse Park.
After many years and miles spent together under saddle, Felicia decided that a photo session with Cadence would be a great way to see her friend off to the green pastures of retirement. I couldn’t agree more. Therefore, Felicia and I had so much fun discussing Cadence leading up to the session. Secondly, we loved picking outfits from Rent the Runway. The word is out that I am obsessed with grey horses so Cadence is basically a unicorn in my eyes. I think it’s safe to say that Felicia would probably agree.
In addition, Felicia runs FM Events in San Luis Obispo. FM Events specializes in all types of events, from weddings to company parties to intimate gatherings, and everything in between. Needless to say, Felicia and I had fun chatting about some neat events and photo shoots that she has been a part of, including a swanky 1920’s theme styled shoot. Swoon! I love everything 1920’s and have been dreaming about doing a 20’s themed equestrian shoot for quite some time. I think Cadence would be a perfect model so maybe we can interrupt her retirement at some point in future for our crazy horse girl ideas!
