Ethereal Equine Photo Shoot

Elena and Balida in Santa Barbara

This ethereal equine photo shoot with Elena and Balida in Santa Barbara was stellar. Naturally I love when creativity can come out and play. Since Elena wanted to shoot with her grey Arabian mare Balida, I thought a monochromatic look would be fun. Furthermore, we had some amazing light and a gorgeous location. Therefore, this California Equine Photography session was epic!

Firstly, I sourced a white lace body suit with floor length fringe. Additionally, I love a monochromatic look. Since Balida is a grey Polish Arabian mare, I thought she was perfect with the styling. Obviously, she is very well cared for and her coat gleamed. Naturally she was perfect for the entire shoot even though there were a ton of distractions. Elena is fantastic to work with! Previously shes been the subject, with Midnight from Los Padres Outfitters. Additionally, she’s done some video work for another Santa Barbara equine photo session. Undoubtedly, I always enjoy working with Elena.

Additionally we had to contend with some Covid precautions with this shoot. Therefore, we made it fashion forward by providing Elena with a white fringe face mask. Since I normally photograph horses, I was already socially distanced with my 70-200mm lens.
