Equine Product shoot | Nipomo, Ca
For a California equine photographer such as myself, Milton Menasco is quite the muse. Therefore this equine product shoot in Nipomo, Ca was as extra as possible. Milton Menasco (aka Alli) and I decided to take a simple Nipomo back road and make it seem like a bucolic country side in southern Italy. Since I love female entrepreneurs, I love equine photo sessions such as this. Badass Horse Girl? Check. Equestrian apparel destined to fly off the shelves? Check. Lastly, a horse. Check. Then you simply mix it all up in a way that only horse girl’s can do.
Obviously Alli is an amazing curator. Therefore, I trust her “eye” with just about anything. Furthermore, I love that she lets me direct her body in any way I can think up. Such as asking her to climb on top of her horse trailer to show off those kicking Celeris boots.
Since this shoot was for the subtle debut of Alli’s Milton Menasco line, we had to do it justice. Despite multiple pauses due to people driving this bucolic Nipomo back road, we got it done. Subsequently, the shirts were a hit and flew off the shelves as soon as Alli launched them.
Obviously I love working with Alli as you can tell from our previous shoots here and here. Naturally our shoots are always a combination of horses and fashion. Which I clearly love. I feel there is something about the combination that is so natural. Consequently, horses seem to be a staple in fashion magazines. Undoubtedly, I’m here for it. Even happier to try my hand at the trend.
