with Mallory and Bear
This Cal Poly Senior Photography session is near and dear to my heart. I’ve known Mallory for a few years now after having worked with her on several commercial shoots. She is a talented and hard-working student, model and rodeo team member.
The 2020 Seniors are definitely getting a less than ideal graduation season due to Covid-19. Therefore, I was honored and excited that Mallory still wanted to have her Senior session. After all, she worked hard all through college by graduating in three years, paying for college herself, and being a fierce competitor on the rodeo team. Obviously, she deserved a wonderful senior session!
We met at the rodeo unit and hauled her horse, Bear, over to the Business Building for some shots. Needless to say, Bear is a seasoned rodeo horse so walking across campus was no big deal. Additionally, several students were on campus taking senior photos. Without a doubt, it warms my hearts that seniors were still celebrating in some way. Additionally, a few campus police members drove by and smiled. It seems that they knew how important this was for the students as well.
We finished up our session at Morro Bay. Since Mallory and Bear would come here to ride during class breaks, it seemed only fitting. Undoubtedly, the weather at the coast is usually questionable. While we had a windy day, we were thrilled that it was still sunny.
I am so glad I met Mallory. Unquestionabley, I’m even happier that I got the chance to take her Cal Poly Senior photos. I know what graduation means. Especially when you work so hard to achieve your goals. Congratulations on your graduation Mallory. Without a doubt, you and Bear will accomplish great things!
