Natalie and Patch at Coastal Equine Ranch
Being a San Luis Equine Photographer is my dream job. I love San Luis Obispo more than any place I’ve ever lived. It has a fun atmosphere, great food, and the beach. Moreover, life as a San Luis Obispo Equine Photographer means I get to meet clients like Natalie and Patch. I headed out to Coastal Equine Ranch on the west end of SLO, for our fun session together!
Natalie rides show jumpers and hunter classes with Dana Andersen Equestrian. Her horse has a catchy registered name and is called The Bachelor. However, she calls him Patch for short. Patch is a bay OTTB and is completely adorable. Additionally, I’ve photographed the pair at the Paso Robles Horse Park and love watching the pair go around.
Undoubtedly, I love all the western riders I get to photograph. However, I grew up riding English and will always love the look of boots and breeches. I was so excited to photograph Natalie and Patch for this reason. The English aesthetic is so clean and classic. Moreover, blondes and bays needs to be its own hashtag.
Coastal Equine Ranch is a barn I love coming to because it reminds me of growing up in a lesson barn as a kid. The people are friendly and the smell of the ocean is just a whiff away. Check out another session I did at Coastal here with Kylie and Rio. Being a San Luis Obispo Equine Photographer is something I wouldn’t trade for the world. Great people, great horses, and great locations. The only thing better, is being a rider here.
