Pismo Dunes Family Photography Session

This Pismo Dunes Family Photography session at the Pismo Beach Dunes with the Moore Family was a complete blast! Especially since I’ve know Jenna since we were little. Moreover, we met when we were her kids age! Needless to say its so neat to see my childhood friend turn into a stellar mother. Additionally, it’s an honor and a privilege to document her family.

For our family photography session, we chose the Pismo Beach Dunes. Needless to say, the dunes are otherworldly. They are unique, breathtaking and inspiring all at once. However, I love them for their blankness. The monochromatic nature of the dunes allow subjects to really pop. Therefore, your subjects are the star of the show. In this instance, we wanted the fun-loving nature of this wonderful family to take center stage.

As I’m sure you’ll see below, smiles are infectious in this family. You’ve never met a set of little girls that were more prone to smiling than the Moore sisters. Mom and Dad are clearly raising happy girls and a close knit family full of love. Obviously, since the girls love playing so much, they ditched us for a bit and played in “Sand Land”.

Mom and Dad and I were not too upset about it. Since the girls ditched us, it allowed the focus to shift to Mom and Dad for a few frames. All I saw through my lens that day was fun and so much love.

Check out a few of our super fun images below! Apparently, SOMEONE thought is was a great idea to give the girls cotton candy. Obviously it ended up all over their faces immediately. Then we finished up with a pretty cool hot pink smoke bomb…because, why not?
