with Taylor and her show jumper “Yonder”
I have been dying to shoot this Nipomo Equestrian Photography Session forever! Admittedly, I met Taylor over a year ago. Though I can’t rightly remember if it was at the Paso Robles Horse Park or through Dana Andersen Equestrian. Obviously, it was meant to be either way. Taylor is one of those people you meet that is your friend right away. Needless to say, she’s fun, funny, kind and gorgeous to top it off.
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know my penchant for grey horses. Obviously, when Taylor told me about her new grey show jumper, I knew we had to make this session happen. All I could think about was a pretty grey horse, golden light, and a stunning girl. Moreover, Taylor and Yonder’s session was my first one back after quarantine restrictions started allowing outdoor photography businesses to go back to work. Undoubtedly, this Nipomo Equestrian photography session was an excellent one to jump back in with.
It should be noted that Taylor’s family operates MGO Photography. MGO specializes in outdoor and action photography. Therefore, I was thrilled when I pulled up and saw Taylor’s family. Moreover, her mom and brother helped get the four year old show jumper’s ears the entire time which made my job so easy and enjoyable. To top it off, her brother Jacob is hilarious and I wish he could come with me to every single shoot!
This Nipomo Equestrian Photography session with Tayor and Yonder could not have been better. We had perfect light, a perfect gal and her wonderful young horse. I can’t wait to see what Taylor and Yonder accomplish together in the show arena in the future.
This session proved several things to me. Firstly, gold and grey is a stunning color palette. Secondly, white breeches will always make my heart go pitter-patter. Finally, people that are beautiful on the inside, do in fact, glow.
