As a California Equine Photographer I BELIEVE CAPTURING IMAGES IS A FORM OF STORY TELLING.

HERE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE STORIES of horses and the people that love them.

Los Alamos Equine Photography

Lindsay Branquinho

This Los Alamos Equine Photography session with Lindsay Branquinho has to be one of my favorite shoots. Lindsay is such a light and I’ve enjoyed shooting her many times. However, this time was our very first time shooting together. I was so nervous to photograph her because I was fan-girling hard before I met her. It should be noted that after meeting her, I fan-girl even harder now.

Lindsay is a mom of three wonderful boys. This woman must have a secret playbook for raising boys like perfect cowboy gentlemen. Without a doubt, her boys are sweet, funny, and adorable and love their momma. She is married to Steer Wrestler Luke Branquinho. Occasionally, Luke will pop into one of our shoots and undoubtedly lick Lindsay’s face.

Our goal for the session was to shoot some content for her clothing store website. If you don’t know about Favour, you need to go check that out now. Obviously, I’ll wait. Moreover, Lindsay and I are “horse girls”. Naturally, we had to sneak in an Equine Mini-Session to round out the afternoon.

Obviously, we decided to steal Luke’s horse for the Equine Photography portion of the shoot. The sweet chestnut gelding was such a ham and loved all the attention he received from Lindsay and myself. My favorite thing about this Los Alamo Equine Photography session was the warm mid-summer air. There’s almost nothing better than photographing a lovely horse and rider pair in beautiful weather.

Enjoy a few images from my Los Alamos Equine Photography session with Lindsay Branquinho below.

Hey There!

I'm California Equine Photographer Elizabeth Hay. Call me Beth. If you love the smell of fresh hay, a clean horse, the sound of a nicker when you walk towards the stall, and you think dirty boots are better than clean — you're in the right place. Welcome to all the bloggy goodness.
