Holly and Getta

For this Fresno, California Equine Photography Horse and Rider session Holly, Getta and I got super lucky. Since Fresno can get quite hot in the summer, I was glad that we had perfect weather for our session together.

Holly is a fellow Cal Poly Alumni and writes for her own online and print magazine, RockN W Report. I love a gal with gumption and ingenuity. Therefore, I think Holly is pretty darn cool. Additionally, I’ve been lucky enough to land a few covers on the RockN W Report which can be viewed in the archives here. Moreover, the magazine is a great way to keep up on what’s happening in the western fashion world. Absolutely check it out if you have the chance!

Getta or also know by her show name Getta Mister hails from the historic Ward Ranch. Namely, the ranch that stood Master Remedy and home of multiple Snaffle Bit Futurity Champions. Needless to say, Getta comes from some National Reined Cow Horse bloodline royalty. Holly and Getta have shown in cowhorse events and are quite the pair.

A girl and her horse will always be my favorite love story. It is one of love, friendship and many memories. My job is to capture a fraction of those memories for my clients to look back on for years to come. Therefore, it’s a task I take seriously because I understand it well. I look for quality natural lighting over background in order to create images that glow. Therefore, my image results are ones that feel like a warm summer evening.
