California Equine Photography Workshop

Every year I try to purchase some sort of education for my photography business. When I was first starting out, I didn’t know where to look for a California Equine photography workshop. Therefore, I ended up doing a wedding workshop from the gals at Linden Clover. Luckily, that ended up being a fantastic thing. Naturally I met some amazing women entrepreneurs and had many takeaways from the event. Mainly, my friendship with Kristyn Villars and Nikki Marie. I was very intimidated but I learned a lot. Additionally, it gave me the desire to look for more experiences such as Linden Clover.

Eventually I found Stoecklein Photography Workshops and enrolled in their Idaho class. Since it was my first equine photography workshop experiences I was super excited. Happily, it was perfection and I learned a ton. Additionally, I came away with some of my favorite images to this day. This equine photography workshop is incredibly hands on and has a great “classroom” portion. If you have any questions about gear or the nitty gritty of file handling workflow, this is the workshop for you.

Subsequently, I found April Visel’s California Equine Photography Workshop through a friend. She also hosts them in Texas as well as Costa Rica, where she lives. Since April is a true artist, her workshop is very stylized. She has a talented costume designer and a collection of talented models every year. The most stellar part of this workshop is the horses. Naturally, they come from all over California and include many top Andalusian and Friesian Stallions. Therefore, if you’re into sexy horses, this workshop is for you.
